Project summary

Come together

Watch Together was an entirely new co-viewing feature that enabled shared streaming video experiences. My goal was crafting a website that clearly communicated this new capability and to drive sign-ups.

Challenge

Educate, engage, and entice

Creating a landing page for the Watch Together feature posed a unique challenge of communicating its novel concept. We had to convey the innovative shared streaming experience in a clear and engaging way, educate visitors without overwhelming them, and motivate sign-ups by highlighting the togetherness it could bring.

Solution

Drawing people in

Our solution involved a well-structured approach, starting with exploratory wireframes that allowed us to experiment with layout and hierarchy. Balancing page density was pivotal, ensuring a clean, informative design. By emphasizing key insights like clarity, premium experience, communal watching, and privacy in our messaging, we crafted content that really resonated with users.

In our design process, we explored four distinct versions of the wireframe, each offering different options, ranging from content-dense layouts to more succinct, focused designs.

Through A/B testing, we fine-tuned the content on the page to optimize performance. This approach effectively communicated the novel concept of Watch Together, engaging visitors and driving sign-ups.

Exploring the user flow was crucial to our design, with a strong focus on driving users to take action and experience Watch Together's collective viewing magic.
